The first stage of the journey takes place in the Joshua house. The goal in this stage is to overcome addictions and negative life controlling issues. During this time the support is the most constant with counselling and 24hr support available on hand. There are various program requirements with ample opportunity to volunteer in community programs as well as receive life-skill and employment training.
The second stage of the program, here men begin to move on and start looking for independence financially. However there is still close support from leadership and volunteers to assist in the maintaining a stable and responsible lifestyle. During this time residents are also closely linked to the Joshua House and support the residents and take part in activities.
